“Inside-Out” Boxes

As seen in “Uniquely You” Season 2, Episode 11

Supplies

• Shoebox

• Any decorative art supplies you have around the house, such as: 

  • Paper

  • Paint

  • Markers

  • Scissors

  • Glue

  • Stickers

Steps

1. Find a box with a lid.

2. Decorate the outside of your box! You can paint it, draw on it, or add stickers. 

3. Find some special items to put inside of your box, like your favorite stuffed animal or pictures. 
   
   
   Questions to Ask Your Child

• What does your box look like on the outside? Is it the same or different from the inside?

• Why did you choose these special items to put in your box? 

• How is our inside-out box like us? 

• What other ways do you like to express yourself?
