Hot Chocolate

As seen in “Be Kind, Be You” Season 2, Episode 4

Ingredients

  • Hot Cocoa

    • 4 cups milk

    • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

    • ¼ cup granulated sugar

    • ½ cup semisweet chocolate chips

    • ¼ tsp vanilla extract

    • Marshmallows

  • Whipped cream

    • ½ cup heavy cream

    • ½ tsp vanilla extract

    • ½ Tbsp confectioner’s sugar


Steps

Whipped Cream

  1. Chill a large mixing bowl in the freezer for ten minutes.

  2. Add heavy cream to the bowl and whisk or beat until stiff peaks start to form. 

  3. Whisk in vanilla extract and sugar. 

Hot Cocoa

  1. Pour milk, sugar and cocoa powder in a saucepan.

  2. Turn the stove on to medium-low heat.

  3. Whisk until warm. 

  4. Add chocolate chips and vanilla extract.

  5. Whisk until all the chocolate is melted.

  6. Pour into a mug and enjoy! Add marshmallows and whipped cream, if desired.
