As seen in “You’re the Bee’s Knees” Season 2, Episode 3

Supplies

  • Egg cartons

  • Tempera paint

  • Cups

  • Paintbrushes

  • Scissors

  • Potting Soil

  • Bee-friendly seeds

  • Water

  • Newspaper

  • Paper towels

  • Paper plate

Steps

  1. Get your space ready. Gather all materials, put down newspaper, squirt paint onto a paper plate, and have a cup of water ready to clean the brushes.

  2. Use scissors to carefully cut the lid off the egg carton. Then cut the bottom of the carton into sections of four.

  3. Wet the brush and paint the bottom of the carton. You can paint each one a different color, all the same or add patterns.

  4. Let the paint dry.

  5. Turn the lid upside down and line it with paper towels. This will be your tray.

  6. Fill the cups with potting soil and sprinkle the seeds on top. Set the pots in the tray and water lightly.

  7. Wait for your flower to grow!
